Wout-Jan Van der Schans: "Every Nations Cup is very special, and when you ride for your country, you give everything you have..."

© Equ.Media

The time is almost here—on February 15, the Longines League of Nations™️ 2025 kicks off. The first leg will take place in Abu Dhabi. Wout-Jan is busy. He is the national coach, a member of the KWPN stallion selection committee for show jumping, a rider, and an instructor, yet he still makes time to respond: “My first month is over, and so is my first major competition—Jumping Amsterdam. As a rider, I was always in contact with the guys, but experiencing the event from this perspective was different,” says Van der Schans.
