Belgian showjumper Christophe Vanderhasselt has announced the sale of his successful competition horse Arthuro de Sarlar Z, a 13-year-old Zangersheide stallion with an impressive international track record.
Arthuro de Sarlar Z was bred by André Tavernier and is sired by Breemeersen Adorado.
The stallion received his early training from, among others, Mélanie Fontaine and Brent Gaublomme, both of whom played a significant role in his development into a top-level showjumper.
In the autumn of 2021, Christophe Vanderhasselt took over the reins, and the combination quickly proved to be a perfect match. Arthuro and Vanderhasselt became a highly successful duo, achieving numerous strong results at international competitions. The highlight of their partnership was undoubtedly the bronze medal at the Belgian Championship in Lanaken in 2023, securing their place among the elite of Belgian showjumping.
The sale of Arthuro de Sarlar Z marks the end of a remarkable partnership, but also opens new doors for the stallion’s future career. The identity of his new rider has not yet been announced.
