Seven months after Cian O’Connor resigned as FEI Athlete Representative to the FEI Jumping Committee, Pedro Veniss has been announced as his successor. Pedro Veniss will make safety and expansion of the sport his main concerns as he begins his term as Jumping’s Athlete Representative.
“I agreed to take the Athlete Representative role because of my passion for horses and for the sport. The possibility of me taking the role came up last year in an International Jumping Riders Club (IJRC) meeting in Barcelona.
“I believe the role is important as it serves as a way of bringing riders’ ideas and thoughts to FEI leadership. In this position I hope to contribute to the sport by working closely with riders and the Jumping community.”
