Beat Mandli will take over the ride on Katie Dinan’s Antares F and Super Trooper de Ness. Both horses, which are owned by the Dinan Family’s Grand Road Partners, have been competing with Switzerland’s Beat Mandli over the past few weeks in Wellington, Florida. The partnerships are in their early stages but already the Swiss rider has caused a stir ringside. Beat rode both horses in the $32,000 Spy Coast Farm 1.45 competition today in Wellington, Florida. Both horses will compete with the world-renowned Swiss rider through-out the first CSI5* week of the 2014 Winter Equestrian Festival season as well as the coming weeks of the 2014 WEF season. “We’ll see how it goes. We’ve just started but the feeling is good. They are good horses so I’m looking forward to the coming weeks” said Beat today in Wellington, Florida. Previously ridden by US Olympic Gold medalist McLain Ward, Super Trooper de Ness won the Accumulator at the 2013 Dublin Horse Show last August in addition to two CSI5* ranked classes at the Spruce Meadows Summer series last year. The stunning Antares F was Ward’s London Olympic mount representing Team USA at the 2012 Olympic Games. The pair competed at the Gothenburg Horse Show last April in addition to the 2013 FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival. In 2012, Antares F and McLain won in Lexington (KY) and Devon (PA). In 2011, the pair won the Spruce Meadows CN Reliability Grand Prix in addition to many other wins. Having represented Switzerland in four European Championships, five FEI World Cup Finals, three World Equestrian Games and two Olympic Games, Beat Mandli is one of the most highly respected riders from Switzerland. Katie Dinan, who announced she would be training with the Swiss Olympian in December of last year, will be enjoying a mountain of knowledge from the 2007 FEI World Cup Finals winner.
