CSI Maastricht the GP in video

Maikel: "I decided, with my father, to take a short turn to the right after the oxer. Eventually when I had to do it I was a bit surprised how fast everything came together. But it worked our very well," states Maikel Van der Vleuten after winning this afternoon's 1m55 GP with Sapphire. The Dutch-pair was followed by Simon Delestre and the 12-year-old Baloubet du Rouet-horse Napoli du Ry. The French rider didn't want to take the risk. "Napoli is back since about one month and a half. He got injured during the last Olympic Games. Taking unnecessary risks would be a wrong decision." The stage in this afternoon's GP was completed by Gert-Jan Bruggink and Primeval Dejavu, ending in the third position. In total the Jumping Indoor Maastricht welcomed about 19,000 visitors in this edition. Bron: Persbericht
