German federation to control youth on alcohol use

After Der Spiegel published an article last week revealing the German show jumping youth are guilty of severe alcohol abuse at championships, resulting in unacceptable behaviour, the German Equestrian Federation (FN) has announced to control the young riders on the next German youth championships. Last week Der Spiegel revealed the case study of the European Championships in 2017 in Samorin, where German youngsters destroyed a hotel room influence by alcohol. The German Ministry is as well investigating a case of a young girl that might have been sexually assaulted that night. Now the German federation has decided to set a zero tolerance and set controls on the next championships competition.
