Jalisca Solier is no more

Steve Guerdat's tophorse, in ownership of Yves G. Piaget, is no more. The 17-year-old mare got injured this morning in the stables in Herrliberg, Switzerland. The mare slipped on an ice surface causing a fracture. As well the rider as owner had to take the unpleasant decision to euthanize the tophorse. Steve Guerdat was at the CSI world cup competition in Zürich at the moment this happened. Jalisca Solier was the horse that Steve delivered his victory at the Grand Prix in Genève in 2006, as well in Vigo in 2007. The pair ended third with the Swiss team at the Olympic Games in Pékin (Hong Kong) in 2008.
