Jessica Mendoza signs to Elite Horse Owners

Elite Horse Owners are delighted to announce the launch of an EHO Showjumping Scheme which will offer a tax efficient way of holding shares in top class showjumping horses to be campaigned by the rising young international star of the sport, Jessica Mendoza. The Scheme, which will be fully approved to offer Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) benefits to those with a UK tax exposure will be looking to campaign horses from the 2017 season through to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Jessica, who competes regularly on the Longines Global Champions Tour and major international championships, shot into the World’s top 100 last year and is one of only 7 British riders to feature in that elite group. She has numerous victories and placings to her name across Grand Prix, World Cups and Nations Cups. When acting as travelling reserve in Rio, she became the youngest British rider for 40 years to make an Olympic squad. Based in Eindhoven, in the Netherlands, which is at the heart of European showjumping, Team Mendoza offers superb facilities to prepare, and opportunities to compete, horses at the highest level of the sport. Commenting on the appointment, Karen Carson, EHO Founder says, “We are delighted to have Jessica on board and look forward to building a strong rider partnership. We are eager to develop a fabulous portfolio of competition horses and get out there on the competition circuit. Jessica shows a huge amount of natural talent but is also extremely dedicated and hard‐working and it is very exciting to provide an interesting tax efficient opportunity for investors whilst also providing Jessica with a strong string of horses to enable her to reach her potential in this high‐profile sport.”
