The two main German Studbooks, the Oldenburg and Westfalen Studbooks, will unite their powers in the future. Although it is no fusion of the two the cooperation will strengthen the position of both studbooks on almost all domains. Yesterday the presidents of the different studbooks signed the contracts and so the agreed to work on the following points:
- Registration; both studbooks will work on one registration system
- the development of one selection system for both mares and sires
- United campagne in public, politics and for authorities.
