A long lasting story came to an end past Saturday during the Belgian Warmblood Foal Auction. For four months the blue Equnews Charlie My Bear travelled the world and got signed for charity on all major events. Charlie My Bear is a concept of the design office, axis71. The design bear statue supports the IFAW (International Fund for Animal Welfare). Every bear sold supports the IFAW, an idea of axis71 to support nature. “It is a giant object , something to embody the character of the brand. It is symbolic. A kind of Ambassador.” (read further under this pic) Equnews came with the idea to have an equnews blue Charlie My Bear have travelling the world and get signed by all major top riders and celebrities. The Bear started its trip at the JumpingClash Challenge in Antwerp. It was a huge kick-off success posing with the amazing Casall and being signed by Rolf-Göran Bengtsson, the Philippaerts-brothers, Zoe Conter, Niels Bruynseels, John Whitaker, Allen Bertram, etc. (read further under this pic) After Antwerp it travelled to Lummen, the Peelbergen, Lier, St. Tropez, Monaco, Aachen, Knokke, Dinard, and many more locations. Jessica Springsteen, Jennifer Gates, Guillaume Canet, Daniel Deusser, Christian Ahlmann, etc. all supported by signing this bear. (read further under this pic) The trip ended last Saturday, August 5, 2017 in Beervelde. Before the BWFA auction kicked-off with its first foal the bear was presented and auctioned. All for charity delivering 3600 euro! The new owners, Crack Furniture company - based in Belgium - have a personal history with cancer and thus liked the idea and supported by offering 3600 euro for the anti cancer funds in Belgium.
