Only one horse managed to collect more than one million euros in profit at competitions over 2016. It was Scott Brash's 15-year-old mare Ursula XII (v. Maple) who collected 1,139,325 euro's between January the 1st and December 31st. The most recent winning of the pair is a third place in the Geneva CHI Rolex Grand Slam. However in September, they earned a smashing 600,000 euro during the Rolex Grand Slam victory in Calgary's Spruce Meadows. The sBs mare HH Azur (formerly: Riviera Garden's Horses) takes second place as most grossing horse on competitions. The 10-year-old Thunder of the Zuuthoeven collected 884 765 euros together with rider McLain Ward. They could have beaten Brash and Ursula XII for the number one spot. If they had just won the Grand Prix in Calgary's Spruce Meadows. Instead the finished with a second place. Chesall Zimequest (v. Casall ASK) follows in third place. Simon Delestre's mare collected 618.493 euros winnings in 2016. Chesall's father Casall ASK follows in fourth place. The Holsteiner stallion collected 593.626 euros in profit payments. The top five is completed by the 12-year-old BWP stallion, Ensor the Litrange LXIII (v. Nabab de Reve). Ensor and Stephex rider, Lorenzo de Luca earned 576.250 euros. During the Calgary Grand Prix, the duo jumped to third place. A bit earlier in July at the CSIO5 * in Dublin they did take the top spot. Other horses that made the top 10 in 2016 are: 6.
