An accident occured during the screening at the DSP Stallion days. In Germany's Munich-Riem a young stallion started to early on his jumping round and jumped into the crowd.
One person got hurt during the accident. Hendrik Fiegel, chairman of the German Young Breeders, was hit during the accident. The stallion mistakenly understood the turning in the direction of the barrier gate as a signal for the start into the free jumping alley.
Fiegel was immediately taken to a nearby hospital and was examined and treated. He sustained a laceration as a result of falling when the horse jumped on him, as well as some bruises, but is already on the mend.
Fiegel is a known and popular in breeder circles as a former warmblood consultant at the Bavarian Horse Breeders Association. We would like to wish him a speedy recovery.
