The European Championships for Juniors and Young Riders dressage and eventing are cancelled. Hartpury has cancelled all events this year so the EC that was scheduled from 27th to the 8th of August can not take place either.
Update: Hungarian entrepreneur Arie Yom-Tov has officially made a bid with the FEI to take over the organisation of the 2020 European Junior and Young Riders Championships after Hartpury announced its cancellation yesterday. It is only a proposal, nothing has been decided just yet.
The organizations tells they had been looking forward to the EC, but that it is not possible, given the current circumstances, the organize an event like this. They say that health is the most important thing right now and they don't want to put more pressure than necessary on the health institution. The championships will probably take place next year on the same location.
