Pessoa concludes his message: "We will miss you Momo, rest now...my friend!"

Bonneau jumped together an impressive career. In 1995 he jumped to team bronze at the European Championships. In 2002 he won the Gold team medal at the World Equestrian Games and claimed the individual silver medal. One year later Bonneau won the team silver at the European Championships and won the Samsung Nations Cup.

In his later years, Bonneau was also the chef d'equipe for Brasil and personal trainer of Kevin Staut and Philippe Rozier at the Olympic Games in 2016.

Bonneau is also the author of the book: "On Y sera un Jour, Mon Grand"

"As we reflect on the many journeys we shared together, we will always remember him as a great human being, humble gentleman, outstanding showjumping professional and a true, dearest, lifelong friend," Eleonora Ottaviani stated on behalf of the Young Riders Academy. "We want to commemorate the beautiful person he was and the profound impact he had on YRA and equestrian sport, Jean Maurice will live on in our hearts forever. With deepest sympathy we extend our heartfelt condolences to Beth, daughters, and all family."

At Equnews we send our sincere condolences to Bonneau's family and friends
