In Prague, the Semi-Final of the GCL Super Cup was just ridden over a height of 1.55m/ 1.60m. The course seemed to be very challenging as there were lots of mistakes made here and there. Out of the 33 riders, only four stayed clear. Six teams are allowed to go through to the big final. The challenging course was won by the Shanghai Swans.
Christian Ahlmann and Dominator 2000 Z got one fault and a point for time. Malin Baryard -Johnsson and H&M Indiana scored one fault. Max Küher and Elektric Blue P got two faults. This brings them to a total of 17 penalty points.
Valkenswaard United could take place on the second place. The world's number one Peder Fredericson with Catch Me Not S was able to keep the only clear round of the team. Marcus Ehning and Stargold finished with 12 penalty points. Edwina Tops-Alexander was able to ride Fellow Castlefield with one time fault and four points for a beam to a total of 5 penalty points. This Valkenswaard United today on a total of 17 points. Because they were just a bit slower than the Shanghai Swans they ended up on the second place.
The London Knights may also be sure of their place in the Grand Final. Olivier Philippaerts and Le Blue Diamond v't Ruytershof scored five penalty points. Emily Moffitt and Winning Good had to do it with nine points. Nicola Philippaerts and Katanga vh Dingeshof rode the best round of the team and got one fault. This brings them to a total of 18 points and third place.
On four we see the Berlin Eagles. There Philipp Weishaupt with Coby managed to provide the only clear round of the team. Christian Kukuk and Mumbai recorded 13 penalty points. Ludger Beerbaum and Mila got four points for a fault and one point for a time penalty. They also recorded a total score of 18 penalty points today but were a bit slower than the London Knights. However, they may be sure of their final place.
The Paris Panthers recorded a total of 19 penalty points. This landed them in fifth place and they take their ticket for the final home with them tonight. Harrie Smolders and Monaco finished with five penalty points. Gregory Wathelet and Nevados S also recorded five penalty points. Darragh Kenny and Idaville d'Esprit had to make do with nine points.
Madrid In Motion is the sixth and final team that will be allowed to participate in the big Play Offs in the final. With a total score of 20 points, they have their ticket just in. Maikel van der Vleuten and Beauville Z rode the only clear round of the team. Mark McAuley and Jasco vd Bisschop left the wood untouched but noted 1 time fault. Marlon Modolo Zanotelli and Like A Diamond van het Schaek were well on their way but got a refusal. The BWP seemed to be off his stride and afterwards he made several jumping mistakes which resulted in 19 penalty points for the duo. This brought the team to a total score of 20 points.
These teams could not qualify for the finals and are thus eliminated after tonight: Prague Lions, St Tropez Pirates, Miami Celtics, Doha Falcons, Hamburg Giants and New York Empire.
