Horse loses eye after accident with bungee-cross-tie

Ultimate Victory, horse of event rider Rick Wallace, has lost his eye after an accident with a bungee-cross-tie

The horse was tied up in the cleaning area when the bungee cord when that cord broke. The panic hook of the bungee cord hit the horse's eye. The eye could no be saved by the vet.

Rick Wallace describes the incident on Facebook: "Ultimate Victory scared from a falling broom and broke the cord with which he was tied. This brought the panic hook of the cord into his eye."

The eventing rider says he tells this story to prevent accidents like this. He also says that Cody, which is the horse's nickname, will be back in competition soon.
