Marcus Ehning retires Misanto Pret A Tout: "Never the most spectacular jumper".

After saying goodbye to Comme Il Faut yesterday in Riesenbeck, Marcus Ehning has now also announced the retirement of Misanto Pret A Tout (by Hiram Chambertin). The ceremony will take place on September 18 during the CHIO in Aachen. So the 18-year-old gelding will say goodbye to the sport on the holy grass of Aachen.

Pret a Tout's career can be called exceptional, to say the least. With Ehning in the saddle, he won two of the toughest Grand Prix' in the world in 2018: those of Aachen and Geneva. They were also part of the German team several times in Aachen, among others, as well as jumping to victories at the Madrid World Cup, the Madrid LGCT and the Gothenburg CSI5* Grand Prix.

"My best moments with him were winning the Grand Prix of Aachen and of Geneva. He has a great character and is incredibly smart in the ring. He has never been the greatest show jumper, but he could easily solve that with his flexibility and agility".
