Mathieu Billot takes Vilamoura's biggest class

  • by Equnews Editorial
  • 12-11-2020

The main number of the CSI4* competition has just been jumped in Vilamoura. The riders got to jump a very difficult basic course: only ten of the 152 starting combinations kept the zero. A jump-off with 10 riders had to decide about the winner.

That winner became Mathieu Billot. He rode Ilena S (f. Verdi) to the finish in 28,59 seconds, leaving to wood untouched. Laura Renwick and Dublin V (f. Vigaro) followed on second place. They jumped a clear round and finished in 29,79 seconds. Gregory Wathelet and Indago (f. Concorde) completed the top three after a clear round in 30,17 seconds.

Edward Levy (Confidence d'Ass) and William Fletcher (Persimmon) completed the top five.
