Pieter Devos: "I've been dreaming of Las Vegas since I was a little boy"

The Belgian top rider Pieter Devos ended on second place in the World Cup rankings.. He told the Belgian federation he always dreamed of going to Las Vegas. However Corona got in the way so for now, he can only keep on dreaming.

"If I thought about Las Vegas in the last couple of day? More than once. Wednesday I stood in the stable, telling my horse Apart that we could have written Belgian history. Until now; only the Belgian rider Philippe Lejeune managed to stood in the podium if a World Cup final. In 1998, he ended on third place in Gothenburg. Well, I think Apart was ready. I don't say we were going to win, but I do believe we could have had a nice result. I ended on second place in the World Cup rankings. Based on that ranking, I would have been one of the last combinations to start. That's an advantage. But besides that, it would have been a great experience to ride in Las Vegas. A lot of World Cup finals already took place there. I remember looking to this competition as a young boy. Since then, I wanted to ride there. I won't be for now, but I hope that once I will get the opportunity again".
