In Verona it was a nerve wrecking jump-off in the World Cup! With ten participants in the jump-off, riders really had to fight for getting the fastest time. The victory was for Simon Delestre. He rode with Hermes Ryan (by Hugo Gesmeray) in a magnificent way to first place. In a time of 37.32 seconds he managed to deliver an impressive and clear round with his sixteen-year-old gelding!
In second place, Kendra Claricia Brinkop provided the girlpower. The German rider rode with the mare Kastelle Memo (by Thunder Van De Zuuthoeve), a lightning fast round in 37.80 seconds. The bronze was reserved for the Irishman Denis Lynch. He rode the experienced fifteen-year-old GC Chipon's Bushi (by Contendro II) to a clear round in 38.62 seconds.
On four we see, again for Germany, Christian Kukuk. He was able to stay clear with Checker (by Comme Il Faut 5) in a time of 39.08 seconds. Jens Fredericson, the brother of the world number one Peder Fredericson, was able to secure fifth place with Markan Cosmopolit (by Cohiba 1198) in a time of 40.73 seconds.
