It was an exciting Nations Cup at Spruce Meadows. After the first round the four riders of the Netherlands and the Swedish team were in the lead with a zero-score. The second round shifted the cards. The Dutch team collected 8 points leaving the road open for the Swiss.

Switzerland remained clear in this second round and eventually settled for the Silver with 7 points. It was Peder Fredricson and his Cardento -son, Catch Me Not S who secured the Swedish victory keeping it clear.

With a total of four points Sweden claimed the win, represented by Jens Fredricson and the 11-year-old Markan Cosmopolit, Rolf-Göran Bengtsson aboard Ermindo w, Henrik von Eckermann with Nababette Z and Peder Fredricson aboard Catch Me Not S.
