Von Eckermann leads the Western European League of the World Cup

With only three more World Cup qualifiers on the agenda, we take a quick look at the standings in the Western European League. The World's No. 1, Henrik von Eckermann leads the way followed by Julien Epaillard and Kevin Staut. But more down the standings, nothing has been decided yet with three more World Cup's to come leading to the Final in Omaha.

With only 45 combinations, divided among the 13 different leagues, receiving a starting spot for the World Cup Finals, it is a true battle for such a coveted ticket. Henrik von Eckermann currently leads the Western European standings flawlessly followed by Julien Epaillard and Kevin Staut. From this league, the top 20 may prepare for the final scheduled for April fourth in Omaha, USA.

Germany has the most riders in the top twenty, for now with six qualifications. France follows with three riders, Sweden and the Netherlands have two. For Norway, Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Switzerland, Great Britain and Italy there's one rider qualifying.

The next qualification (and so is the third last one) is scheduled this week during Jumping Amsterdam. On the participants lists: Henrik von Eckermann (SWE), Julien Epaillard (FRA), Kevin Staut (FRA), Daniel Deusser (GER), Marcus Ehning (GER),.. who are all on top of the standings.
