"I had followed the first two combinations in the jump-off and moments later saw Daniel (Coyle, ed.) take the inside bend to the double jump. On the forecourt, I discussed the strategy with Jos Lansink. There were only three clear combinations left. So it was either take it easy or go all the way. We chose option two and that worked out well today. It's always special to win a five-star Grand Prix, but even more special when you do it in your own country. The atmosphere was fantastic and I am very happy to stand here as the winner," said the brand-new Grand Prix winner.
