The Numero Uno x Obalia B son was bred by B Schröder from Lattrop-Breklenkamp and competed for three years at the highest level with Albert Voorn who had taken over the reins from Tom Brinkman. With Voorn in the saddle the combination had several successes including the Grand Prix victory in Villeneuve sur Lot.
"Tobalio is a complicated horse", tells Voorn. "He is quite fast and sensible and threw me many ttimes. But he had a urge to perform that was out of this world. Even though other people thought he was not suitable for the highest level. Tobalio and I were connected on a emotional level".
In 2014 the horse was sold to Abdullah Al Sharbatly who in that same year were victorious in the 1m60 of Windsor. The combination peaked in 2016 leaving them with victory in the Grand Prix of Shanghai and several great results at the Longines Global Champions Tour. During a training early 2017 Tobalio was injured and Al Sharbatly decided to retire him.
In that same year the horse moved to Fürstenau near Osnabrück to the Sweiss family's private stables. If his injury would heal the thirteen year old Antonia Sweiss could learn quite a lot from the horse. She and Tobalio are succesfully competing small competitions from now and then.
