The eight year old Vannan (Diamant de Semilly x Kannan) who was owned by Erik Laenen van de Roshoeve and Jan Tops is now sold to Athina Onassis. The stallion shows some great potential for the future and is bred by Jan Tops.
It was Nick Vrins (who we see on the photo with Vannan) who first showed the stallion the ropes in the showjumping, while later it was Rachel Steffen who took the reins. The latter had several great rounds with the stallion earlier this year, leaving the shows with no penalties. It was al Stal Tops that the pair competed where Onassis saw some great potential in the stallion.
He was bred from the mare Quana One de l'Eaugrenee whom thanks to an injury never competed herself. The mare has two approved sons including Valkenswaard and now Vannan who is approved by both AES and Zangersheide.
