Edward Levy: the Frensch rising star!
The French 23-year-old Edward Levy ended the prestigious CSI5* Saut Hermés in Paris last week end in a brilliant way, obtaining a good 5th place in Prix Les Talents Hermès with his excellent mare Starlette de la Roque.

Thierry Pomel, international jumping rider who has represented France for many years at the highest levels of show jumping and actually the chef-d’équipe of French young riders team, says of him: “Edward is very mature for his young age; he faces his commitments and his work very seriously. Very well organized, motivated, he wants always improve questioning himself and reflecting deeply”.

In his stable in Deuville, Normandy, Edward has a very good group of young horses that will support his top horse, the mare Starlette de la Roque (SF 2006 - Jumpy des Fontaines x Kannan): “Starlette is my top horse now, I love her so much. She is very respectful, attentive, she wants always to do her best for me…” says Edward.

Edward Levy, thanks to his determination and the right choices, is one of the young French horse riders receiving great attention on the international scene. The French rider was champion of France 'AS Jeunes Cavaliers' in 2012 at Le Mans on Belle Rock and winner with Starlette de la Roque of the seven-year Master at Fontainebleau in 2013 and has two participations at the Young Riders European Championships, in 2013 at Vejer de la Frontera riding Quarto Mail and in 2014 in Arezzo riding Belle Rock.

A pupil of trainer Eric Louradour and then of great champion Patrice Delaveau, Edward Levy was trained at the Haras de la Forge, where he learnt all the basics of equestrian techinque; in 2015 Edward moved in the stable of Ludger Beerbaum to increase his experience, to improve technique and to develop his professionalism.

At the beginning of 2016 Edward moved in Florida to ride the horses of the American rider Brianne Goutal in the show jumping circuits. After spending six months in Florida, in June 2016 he came back to Normandy, near Deauville, working still with Brianne Goutal and also with new sponsors, new horses and his own horses. The goal is to combine horse training, sport and horse trading. The aim is the highest level, sportingly and commercially.

He knows where he wants to go and is building his career by focussing on his objectives and in the best way possible. Edward has clear ideas and is focused on his objectives. Animo wishes you and your horses all the best!
