Goodbye to an Olympic Silver Medal winner

Last night the Olympic Silver medal winner, Lando (Lancier x Raimondo), has passed away at the Haras Bélingneux. The stallion was Albert Voorns Olympic ride in 2000 in Sydney. Lando's career started when Voorn got him at the stable to make him a little bit more workable. After the Olympics Schockemöhle transferred Lando to Otto Becker.

Together with Becker the bay stallion won several Grand Prix's, Nationa Cups and big international compeitions. Lando was approved for the Hannover, Oldenburger and the Selle Français. His most successful offsprings are Ornella Mail HDC (rider Patrice Delaveau) and Cloud Nine II (rider Jos Verlooy).
