Horse Nation Foundation's Successful Gala to Return to Huntington Beach Summer Classic
Horse Nation Foundation Brings Together At-Risk Youth and Abused Horses to Create Powerful Bonds
West Palms Events is proud to announce our partnership with Horse Nation Foundation (HNF) for the third year in a row for their annual Grand Prix Gala, to be held at the Huntington Beach Summer Classic on August 12, 2017 at the Huntington Central Park Equestrian Center. The Grand Prix Gala raises funds to support HNF's mission to help children in need experience the incredible healing power of horses.

"We are very excited to partner with Horse Nation Foundation for their Third Annual Grand Prix Gala," said Adrienne Karazissis of West Palms Events. "They have an incredible program and we're honored to support such a great local cause at our Huntington Beach Horse Show Series."

"For me, the highlight of the show was the Horse Nation Foundation Grand Prix dinner," said Michele Ryan, rider at Windsong Farms. "It combines the excitement of a great Grand Prix with a super fun party to benefit a worthy cause that anyone would want to learn more about and help. That's a blue ribbon win for sure!"

Founded by psychotherapist Dr. Carole Harris, Horse Nation Foundation is a nonprofit organization devoted to the empowerment and support of disadvantaged youngsters, using abused and abandoned horses in need of rehabilitation. Together, children and horses learn trust, hope, empathy and love as they participate in 8-week programs dedicated to fostering a healing, supportive environment for both humans and horses.

The Foundation pairs rescued horses with young people involved in life-enriching lessons including gang and bullying avoidance, effective communication and building strong morals and values. The horses in this program have suffered abuse and neglect, and are receiving a second chance at life with kindness and proper care. The Foundation helps children gain self-esteem, confidence and life skills through handling and bonding with the horses in their care.

"Our therapeutic work combining rescued horses with deserving young kids is possible because of all the support and love from the generous Huntington Beach community and equestrians," said Justine Makoff of HNF. "We can't wait to pamper everyone again with dinner, heart stopping show jumping and music."
