Hosts on top as Emilie Conter wins Super Cup Grand Prix presented by Gemeente Meise
Belgium and Stephex Stables’ own Emilie Conter and the 12-year-old Fragile van’t Paradijs (Indoctro x Surrealist van’t Paradijs) took their second win of the weekend, when topping Sunday’s Super Cup Grand Prix presented by Gemeente Meise.

Only four riders managed to tackle the 1.45m track set for the CSI2* Grand Prix, that was worth a total of 24 600 Euro – also offering valuable world ranking points.

Last to go of these four in the jump-off, Conter snatched the victory from Ireland’s Ross Mulholland and Cybell (Varo x Lancer) that had to settle for runner-up position with the second and last clear against the clock with 0.57 seconds separating them.

“There was only one other clear when I was going in as last, and the round was quite fast so I tried to go as quick as I could but still stay clear. It worked out, and I am really happy,” smiled the 17-year-old daughter of Stephan Conter – President of the Brussels Stephex Masters.

“My horse did an amazing job today. She is a bit special, but she always fights for me in the ring and does everything she can for me,” said Emilie about Fragile van’t Paradijs that also won Friday’s Super Cup.

“It is really nice to win here at home. My sister won this Grand Prix two years ago, so it is really special for me to win today!” said a smiling Emilie.

Rounding off the top three were Dutch rider Annette Wolf on Ewoud J (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve x Burggraaf) with one down in the jump-off to finish third, Great Britain’s Jack Whitaker on Street Hassle (Quick Star x Laudanum) – also with one down against the clock to end fourth and Belgium’s Patricia Guery on Dream Alive Hero (Erco van’t Roosakker x Carthago) who recorded one time fault in the first round to place fifth.

Jack Whitaker concluded a great week at Brussels Stephex Masters as Best Rider in the Super Cup, and was awarded with a one-year lease of a brand new STX 2 Horse Truck.
