Jonna Schelstraete took home the win in Saturday’s freestyle which resulted in a championship title in the ZZ-advanced KNHS Dutch Championships in Ermelo. Jonna rode Grand-Charmeur (by Apache) to an impressive 73.167% in the freestyle class. This added to the score of 69% from the first test, ensuring the combination the Dutch Champion title.
This was an extra special weekend for the Schelstraete family as both mother and daughter achieved success with their horses. Daughter Micky was able to score a hat-trick at the CDI Lier show with her pony Elin’s Nonciscador. “This is really bizarre, this is what you do it all for! Of course it’s great to train with my daughter every day and to do all the other things that come with it, but this makes it all very special.” Jonna happily comments.
