Yesterday more details about the condition of Spanish dressage talent Juan Matute Guimon were announced. He's recovering very well since he can speak English and Spanish and FaceTimes with his sister Paula who is currently living in Wellington.
"What Juan did today was unbelievable", his father said. "He started talking and smiling. When his sister asked him if he could still speak English he answered 'of course'".
He's still in intensive care but this has more to do with the fact that the hospital is renovating due to the Corona outbreak. His father says Juan has to gain weight now since he lost a lot of muscles. He also thanks the doctors and nurses who did everything they could to save Juan, despite the Corona crisis".
