New eight year old talent for Ben Maher

New eight year old talent for Ben Maher

Acquired as a foal by Patrick Huyse, Enjeu de Grisien (Toulon x Andiamo Z) took his first international steps at the end of the year in Opglabbeek under the saddle of Virginie Thonon. This was enough to attract interest and it is finally with Ben Maher that the eight year old gelding will continue his career.

"In fact, I had spotted his sister but I didn't manage to convince her owners to sell her to me so I bought his half-brother who was a foal at the time. We took our time with him. We always start our young horses at 5 years old. We did a lot of training and in the end he only went out a few times in competition but I can only thank my rider Cécile Wanders who was very patient and invested a lot. Her work pays off today and she will have her share of success in the career of this horse. At Sentower Park, for his first international, his performances were very well attended under the saddle of Virginie Thonon. We had a lot of calls, but it's certain that seeing him go to Ben Maher, who had spotted him on Clipmyhorse, is a great honor," said Patrick Huyse, a passionate owner who is not at his first high-level horse.

The breeder has already had great success with Gregory Wathelet thanks to Spike VD Withoeve who is now riding with Virginie Thonon. A few months ago, Nerio de la Haute Bruyère (Elvis Ter Putte x Cheurano Z), who made his international debut with Grégory Wathelet, was sold by Patrick and Delphine Huyse to Jérôme Guery on the advice of Manuel Casais before the latter headed for Asia. However, the story does not end there, because finally, the man succeeded in buying Audace de Grisien (Lando), who is none other than the sister of Enjeu that he wanted to buy at the beginning! At 12 years old, she is now part of the Pomme d'Or family breeding.
