New home for Captain Cooper

New home for Captain Cooper
In the last weeks several horses found their way to new riders or stables. Now the partnership between Dutch rider Kevin Jochems and his top horse Captain Cooper will also come to a end. The eleven year old Namelus R son has left Jochems stables for a new home.

"Cooper has been the best horse I’ve been lucky enough to ride in my career so far . He brought me to the highest level in our sport last summer and together we have had several unforgettable moments! We won our first 5* Grand Prix in Hickstead, made our debut for The Netherlands in the Senior 5* Nations Cup and only a few weeks later we won another 5* Grand Prix in Dublin. Not to mention the many more prizes before and after which we won together." tells Jochems on his social media.

Cooper started his career under Marc Houtzager, who jumped a few national competitions with him. He then made his way to Marc Mertens before ending up with the Thijssen family. It was Leon Thijssen who was handed the reins and had a succesfull run with the gelding. Daughter Sanne Thijssen also competed several times with Cooper. Jochems took his place in the saddle in juli 2017. Their last competition was last september in Belgium's Waregem.
