New horse for Luciana Diniz
Portugal's Luciana Diniz has found a new talent for her stables. Yesterday she competed the eleven year BWP stallion Icarus (by Douglas) in the Signal Cup from Dortmund.

The BWP stallion was bred in Belgium by Luc Vandeburie and competed since 2017 with Brazilian rider Marlon Modolo Zanotelli. They jumped to victory in the CSI2* Grand Prix of Opglabbeek in both 2018 and 2019. They also finished second in their CSI5* debute during the Grand Prix of Villach.

It was Belgian rider Jessicsa Geurts who educated the stallion and competing him in the young horses competitions. In the seven year old competition at Oliva they won the CSI1* 1m40. In 2017 it was Jerome Guery who took over the reins. In their first competition at Jumping Amsterdam they finished in fifth place, while a few months later they won the CSI2* en CSI5* 1m45 of Antwerp.

Diniz started Icarus in the 1m40 Small Tour in Dortmund finishing with a clear round in 17th place.
