Robin Parsky’s owner of the year
Kent Farrington may have missed out on the Rolex Grand Prix of Aachen title by fractions of a second, but his competitive and consistent results this season have launched the talented Chicago-native to World No.2. Those consistent results have maintained his reputation as one of the circuit’s fastest and most formidable riders. His drive to win and his focus is known by riders on both sides of the Atlantic ocean. Taking wins almost every month in the 2014 season, Farrington’s World No.2 status would not be without the incredible performances of his amazing string of horses. This is why Amalaya Investments’ Tommy and Terri Nusz and Robin Parsky have been chosen as the 2014 Noelle Floyd.com Owners of the Year.
With two incredible owners backing this World Games Bronze medalist, Farrington is a serious threat to Brash’s No.1 status in 2015. Amalaya Investment’s are the owners of Farrington’s World Equestrian Games mount Voyeur, as well as the talented young Willow, who took Farrington to no less than six top six international placings including wins at the inaugural Longines LA Masters and the Global Champions Tour of Monaco. Voyeur was a major presence during the 2014 season, finishing second in the Rolex Grand Prix of Aachen and taking a Bronze medal at the World Equestrian Games in Normandy. As well as winning the ATCO Queen’s Cup at Spruce Meadows and the second qualifier at the 2013/14 Longines World Cup Finals in Lyon, France.

Robin Parsky’s Blue Angel was also a significant presence in Farrington’s 2014 season. Taking home no less than seven international victories for Farrington, Blue Angel was an instrumental part of Kent’s ascent to World No.2. With Farrington, Blue Angel took home some high profile wins in the 2014 season, including the Serpentine Speed Stakes in Dublin, the Premio MAG JLT in Rome, Italy and the Salamander Hotels Grand Prix in Wellington, Florida.

Runner’s up for the 2014 Owners of the Year title were Haras des Coudrettes HDC and Madeleine Winter-Schulze. With not one but two riders in the World Top 10 HDC was absolutely fundamental for French show jumping in 2014. Patrice Delaveau took World Team Bronze and Individual Bronze at this year’s World Equestrian Games after five incredible days of jumping from their very own Orient Express HDC. Kevin Staut and Patrice Delaveau are ranked World No.6 and World No.7 respectively and therefore prove the absolute fundamental importance of Haras des Coudrettes, not only for each rider’s own personal international careers but for French show jumping as well.

To say that Madeleine Winter-Schulze has been an influential part of Ludger Beerbaum and Henrik von Eckermann’s careers is a gross understatement. Known and respected by many through the international show jumping community, Madeleine saw her horses take Ludger Beerbaum to a third place finish in the 2014 LGCT Season Championship and Henrik von Eckermann to sixth place. Her horses performed consistently and competitively through the 2014 season, maintaining Beerbaum in the World’s Top 5 with incredible wins from Chaman in the GCT Grand Prix of Lausanne and Chiara at the Longines World Cup Finals in Lyon.
