The Wiemselbach has announced the passing of the stallion, Numero Uno. The stallion passed away at the age of 28. "With great sadness and a heavy heart, we had to say goodbye to our stallion Numero Uno this morning."
Numero Uno himself had a successful sports career with Marco Kutscher in the saddle. After his successful career, the stallion made a significant impact on breeding. Several 1.60m Grand Prix horses are from his offspring. The most well-known ones include Tamino, Tyson, Uno de la Roque, Van Gogh, and others.
Stal Horn writes the following: "With great sadness and a heavy heart, we had to say goodbye to our stallion Numero Uno this morning. For our stable and our family, it's an intensely sad day, as Numero Uno has always held a very special place in our hearts and will continue to do so in the future. It brings us comfort that he was in excellent condition until the moment of his passing and could enjoy his retirement here at Wiemselbach every day. For 28 years, we had the privilege of taking care of him, and for 28 years, we enjoyed his unique personality and intelligence. Just as we were there for him every day, he was there for us every day, willing to work and serve until the end. We are grateful for what he has given us and proud of everything we have achieved together. Over the years, we have seen him grow into his role as an ambassador for show jumping breeding and as the flagship and undisputed leader of our stable. Our thanks go to all the staff who have lovingly cared for him over the years, and together we will cherish all the beautiful memories with him. Uno, we will miss you, forever holding a special place in our hearts."
