Bella Rose 2 of Isabell Werth retires from the sport

Isabell Werth rode to individual silver at the Tokyo Games today. She rode the 17-year old Bella Rose 2 (by Bellissimo) for this and immediately announced that this championship was the last competition of her top mare, reports St. Georg.

It is not yet known where and how the mare will exactly say goodbye to the sport. What is already certain is that the mare will be used in breeding from now on. "I'm completely satisfied with my Freestyle," Werth told the press conference. "It doesn't matter to me then whether I achieve silver, bronze or gold. After all, I don't have a subscription to gold medals either," she added, laughing.
