Last year, Belgium scored two team gold medals and five individual medals at the European Championships, and the youth riders want to do no less this year. Last Monday, the longlist for the various youth ECs had to be submitted. Afterwards, the chefs d'équipe, along with advisors and the top sports cell, gathered to arrive at the selection below. A shortlist, with the combinations and reserve combinations that were finally selected to go defend Belgium in Gorla Minore, where the European Championships in show jumping will take place, and in Kronberg, where the European Championships in dressage for the juniors and Children will take place, and in Budapest for the Young riders. The ponies of both the dressage and jumping and eventing disciplines, will compete in Le Mans.
