With five riders left to compete, the German team still held the lead in the Nations Cup with a clean slate. Belgium was currently in fourth place with eight penalty points, trailing the American team by about three seconds, who shared the same number of penalty points in third place. Ireland was steady in second position.

A flawless round by Cian O'Connor and Maurice (Thunder vd Zuuthoeve) secured Ireland's silver medal. Following the Irish rider, it was up to Belgium's Gregory Wathelet to potentially shake things up. Piloting the Selle Français stallion by Diamant de Semilly, Bond Jamesbond de Hay, he delivered the fastest clear round, putting him in the lead individually!

The weight of team USA was on Aaron Vale's shoulders, whose round would determine whether the bronze medal went to the United States or Belgium, with his time being crucial if he remained clear. Riding Carissimo 25 (Cascadello), he stayed clear but was slower than Wathelet, allowing the Belgians to surpass the American team.

Italy had a two-faced performance in the Cup: overall disappointing in the first round, but significantly excellent in the second. They participated in the second round only because, as the host nation, their penalty score was not more than 8 points higher than the eighth-placed team after the first round. The initial round jeopardized the final outcome for the Italian team, with no clear rounds and a total of 20 penalties.
