Julia Krajewski first female Olympic champion eventing

After Great-Britain claimed the Gold Team Medal, it was Germany's  Julia Krajewski who conquered the individual golden medal with a total penalties of 26. In Tokyo Krajewski conquered the gold aboard Amande De B'neville (Oscar des Fontaines). For the first time ever a female golden Olympic winner in eventing.

With 3.3 points difference Great-Britain's Tom McEwen followed as runner-up. McEwen is as such in possession of a golden team medal and silver individual medal, all thanks to Toledo De Kerser. Australia's Andrew Hoy followed with bronze aboard Vassily De Lassos.

Outside the stage it was JApan's Kazuma Tomoto placing fourth with Vinci De La Vigne and Oliver Townend fifth with Ballaghmor Class.
