Despite massive discontent: national federations barely go against FEI's Olympic format

After the Olympic Games there was a lot of comment about the format of the competition in Tokyo. Many people expressed their displeasure with the FEI, including big names in show jumping such as Mclain Ward and Nick Skelton.

Not much later it became known that the same format would be maintained for the Games in Paris 2024. The FEI therefore gave the national federations the opportunity to submit written feedback on the Olympic format by October 15. Surprisingly, there was very little response. Only 8 out of 136 national federations effectively submitted feedback (Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and the United States).

At the General Assembly, which takes place in mid-November, this topic will be discussed in detail and considered a priority.
