FEI strongly recommends the use of mouth masks during her events

The FEI has advised all visitors and riders to wear a mouth mask during her events. The FEI send an e-mail to all athletes and federations stating the following:

"As a follow-up to last week’s message from Dr Mark Hart, Chair of the FEI Medical Committee, we kindly ask you to take note that the FEI Policy for Enhanced Competition Safety during the Covid-19 Pandemic has been updated regarding the use of masks. The Policy now “strongly recommends that face masks are worn by all persons on the venue at FEI Events, except:

-         When mounted on a horse or driving a carriage; and,
-         For athletes and Driving Grooms, while training and competing”.

This means that we no longer simply recommend that masks are used “whenever there is a doubt that social distancing can be maintained”. We now strongly recommend that masks are used at all times, except in the situations mentioned above.

However, please also be aware of the national regulations in the host country which may be even more stringent."
