Japanse Minister puts Olympics into question

Not only with us, but also in Japan the Corona figures are going up again. So it still doesn't seem certain that the Olympics can effectively take place this summer. That are the words of Taro Kono, the minister of administrative and regulatory reform in Japan. This makes him the first minister to openly express his doubts about the continuation of the Games.

A state of emergency was declared in Tokyo until February 7. A recent poll also showed that more than 80% of the Japanese population do not actually like the Olympic Games. The Japanese minister therefore calls on the organization and the IOC to start thinking about a plan B.
