The second round of the Global Champions was won by Philippe Weishaupt. He stayed clear on top of Coby (v. Contagio).
The German rider sped the 12 years old gelding to a clear round in 66.82. Bertram Allen followed closely with Emmylou (v. Lupin Z) but wasn't fast enough and finished second. Concluding the top three was Olivier Robert. He and Vivaldi des Meneaux (v. Chippendale Z) rode to a third place in this class against the clock.
Malin Baryard-Johnsson didn't make the top three and ended in fourth place with H&M Indiana (v. Kashmir van Schuttershof), followed by Yuri Mansur en Vitiki (v. Valentino 240) on five.
GCL TEAM COMPETITION
The ranking in the Global Champions has been shaken up. After this second round, the team consisting out of Ludger Beerbaum with Mila (v. Monte Bellini) and Philipp Weishaupt with Coby take the lead under the name of 'Berlin Eagles'. Stockholm Hearts follow in second place, with Malin Baryard-Johnsson with H&M Indiana, Lily Attwood and Cor-Leon Vd Vlierbeek Z (v. Calvaro FC) and Lillie Keenan with Queensland E (v. Quickfire de Ferann). Shane Breen with Vistogrand (v. Fantaland), Nina Mallevaey with Crack D'La Rousserie (v. Quaprice Boimargot Quincy) but also with Cartier SR (v. Canturenter) and last but not least Shane Breen with Cuick Star Kervec (v. 105ME92) rode for the Rome Gladiators and are currently in third position.

Smooth and fast clears from Malin Bayard-Johnsson on H&M Indiana and Lily Attwood with Cor-Leon vd Vlierbeek Z put them just 1.03s behind the time of Berlin Eagles to take second.The celebrations couldn’t start straight away for Ludger Beerbaum as he competed in the second arena at Tops International Arena. Philipp Weishaupt did the winner's interview on his own where he explained: "We knew this week we had to put the pressure on and concentrate on the time more. Ludger gave some gas and I know Coby is a fast horse. If we want to win overall we have to bring our best horses to every stage. It is amazing to ride in this grass arena at Tops International Arena but it is not just the arena it is everything around as well, the stables, the truck parking, the warm-up - there is just so much room here it is so horse-friendly built."Speaking for the Stockholm Hearts, Lily Attwood smiled: "We are pleased with the second but Berlin Eagles are gaining on us now.
