Stais and the twelve-year-old Hannoverian mare Samba de Janeiro crossed the finish line in 63,5 seconds. Armando Trapote and Conthargos Rouge (Conthargos) were able to claim the second spot for Spain in 66,36 seconds, a split second faster than Jake Hunter and Last Romance (Canto) for Australia.
Deborah Jackson and Cassino (Cassini I) finished fourth for Great Britain in 66,65 seconds. Portugal took the fifth place thanks to Duarte Seabra with Vegas du Chai (Quick Star).
