Andre Thieme and Paule S best in the CSI4* 1.40m Prize of Bucas Limited at CSI Hof Waterkant

After two CSI2* classes had passed, the first day of CSI Hof Waterkant in Pinneberg, Germany closed off with the CSI4* 1.40m Prize of Bucas Limited. The German combinations dominated with a win for Andre Thieme and Paule S (v. Perigueux).

80 horse and rider combinations came to the start, only 29 of them managed to go clear. The challenge was to go directly against the clock in this 1.40m class. German rider Andre Thieme proved to be the fastest in the saddle of Paule S (v. Perigueux). The nine years old gelding stopped the clock at a fast time of 63,29s. Only five hundredths of a second kept compatriot Kendra Claricia Brinkop from the victory. On the back of Nector vd Bisschop, a ten years old BWP stallion from Echo van t Spieveld, Brinkop had to settle for second place. Third place was for a Swedish combination and came in the name of Karin Martinsen. She rode PB Chakira Z (v. Colore) over the finish line in 63,55s and into third.

The top three was on each other's lip as the combination on four finished over a second later. With a clear round in a time of 64,77s, Markus Renzel (GER) came on four with Pikeur Lareen (v. Los Angeles), an eight years old mare. The top five was concluded by Sophie Hinners (GER). Together with the eleven years old Thelma Hastak (v. Heartbeat) she managed to stay clear and stop the clock at 65,22s.
