Bram Chardon steers to third Driving World Cup Victory in Bordeaux

All has been said and done in Bordeaux. all the prizes have been awarded for the 2024 edition of Jumping International de Bordeaux. For the carriage drivers, it was an especially exciting competition with the World Cup final on the schedule. Bram Chardon secured the title with a flawless ride.

The drive-off featured three participants: Bram Chardon, along with his father Ijsbrand, and Boyd Exell. The Australian had the fastest time but incurred a penalty, relinquishing the victory. It was the youngest Chardon who managed to surpass him by just over a second. Father Ijsbrand navigated all obstacles flawlessly but took a bit more time, earning him the third position.


The Dutch competitors added to the excitement, as Koos de Ronde also made an impression, steering his four-in-hand to the fourth place. The top five concluded with Dries Degrieck, the Belgian who established himself as a strong contender with a win in the World Cup leg in Leipzig last week.
