Bryan Balsiger takes gold in World Cup Oslo

The moment that people have been working towards in Oslo for a week: the first World Cup leg for the Western European League! A very strong field of participants competed with each other in this tough 5* class, where Bryan Balsiger with Dubai du Bois Pinchet (Kashmir van Schuttershof) outperformed all the competition.

At the start of this Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Oslo there were 38 participants, of which only eleven managed to stay clear during the solidly built basic course. In the jump-off, the Swiss Bryan Balsiger set the fastest clear time with Dubai du Bois Pinchet and thus crowned himself the winner. More than two seconds after Balsiger, Victoria Gulliksen finished second on home soil in the saddle of Equine America Papa Roach (Perigueux). The Irishman Eoin McMahon set the third best result on the back of the 12-year-old Casall daughter Chakra.

Lars Kersten managed to keep an overall clean sheet as well, and finished fourth with Emmerton in a time only 67 hundredths slower than the number three. The home crowd also gave the Norwegian Marie Valdar Longem wings, after which she jumped to fifth place on Echo de Virton (Vagabond de la Pomme).
