Emanuele Gaudiano unbeatable at 1.60m Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi

Italy's top rider Emanele Gaudiano continues to deliver bang for the buck at the very highest level. This was no different during the undeniable highlight of the day in Abu Dhabi, the Grand Prix over 1.60m height. Together with the 14-year-old Oldenburg stallion Chalou (Chacco-Blue), Gaudiano captured the cup and over 38,000 euros by finishing as the fastest of only two double clear combinations.

The Grand Prix over two rounds was completed double clear by only two combinations in total, with Gaudiano steering the chestnut stallion Chalou to the best result in 42.56 seconds. Irish Billy Twomey followed a good two seconds later with the 15-year-old chestnut stallion Chat Botte E.D (Casall) in second place. A total of four penalties and a tight time of 41.67 seconds earned David Will a bronze medal in the saddle of the BWP gelding My Prins van Dorperheide (Zilverstar T).

Yesterday's big winner Kristaps Neretnieks, on the Holstein gelding Quintair (Quintero), set another top round and jumped to fourth place. Last time at one jumping fault was achieved by Syrian combination Amre Hamcho and 14-year-old grey gelding Vagabon des Forets (Corofino 2).
