Harrie Smolders crowned 2023 LGCT Season Champion

Harrie Smolders pushed through until the very end but his determination has payed off! The Dutch rider was crowned as winner of the LGCT 2023 in Riyadh!

With a total of 252 points, Harrie Smolders managed to secure the LGCT 2023 title. This is Smolders' second title in the LGCT, after he also won the series in 2017 following a decisive round, with Don VHP Z, in Rome before the final in Doha. His victory back then was a first for the series because no rider had managed to secure the title with certainty before the final.

Fellow countryman Maikel van der Vleuten, who was the best of the two in the Grand Prix showdown this evening, came in second with 246 points. The Dutch duo left the world's number one, Henrik von Eckermann, settling for third place with 245.50 points throughout the season.
